Chia seeds are well known for bursting with health benefits.
Here are three ways you can incorporate chia seeds into your diet

Chia Seed Pudding

Soak 1/2 cup of chia seeds with 1.5 cups of coconut cream or nut milk.
The chia seeds need to release their 'goo' like substance to maximise your benefits from them. Stir the chia seeds mixed with the coconut cream or nut milk once a minute for 3 minutes to ensure they do not clump together. Set in a glass jar in the fridge over night. Enjoy with your favourite fruit or muesli toppings.

Chia Seed Jam

In a sauce pan mix on a low heat add 1 & 1/4 cups of fresh or frozen berries of your choice with 1/2 cup of chia seeds & 1/4 cup maple syrup (optional). If you are going to use honey instead of maple syrup, do not heat the honey. Await the mixture to be completely cooled down before adding the honey. Bring the fruit mixture to a simmer and allow the chia seeds to soak up the juice and become plump. Store in a sterilised glass jar in the fridge.

Use a dollop of Chia Seed Jam in your smoothies, over fresh summer fruit, as a treat on your morning muesli, swirl with your favourite natural yogurt or coconut yoghurt, smear over your favourite seed bread or crackers, alternatively just eat it out the jar!

 Chia Seed Tonic

Brew 500mls of your favourite tea.  Some beautiful healing herbs you can brew include passion fruit flower, lemon balm, ginger & lemon, dandelion leaf, jasmine, green or rooibos tea.
Flower herbs you could brew include rose petal, calendula, lavender or elderflower.

Brew in a sauce pan over the lowest heat 500mls filtered water & your favourite tea. Gentle heat for 6 minutes then turn off the element and set aside to brew for a further 20 minutes.
Allow to completely cool.
Add this mixture to a 1L bottle with freshly squeezed lemon, orange, grapefruit or lime juice.
1/4 cup maple syrup or a few tablespoons of raw honey (optional).
Add your favourite fresh herbs like basil, mint or thyme (optional).
Add 1/2 cup of chia seeds. Continue to mix the chia seeds over the next 3 minutes so they do not clump together. Allow the chia seeds to soak for at least 5 minutes before enjoying your chia seed tonic.
